Why are Amazon products always slow in the peak season?

Basically every year in the e-commerce peak season, Amazon FBA first-haul logistics will experience varying degrees of delays, slow receipt and shelves, etc., including not only sea freight, but also air, rail, and cargo transportation. So what are the reasons for the delays, slow shelves, and slow receipts? The following is a detailed analysis for everyone.

Sellers all know that Amazon products are first scanned by FBA tags. After the goods are sent to the Amazon warehouse, the staff will scan, and the seller's mailbox will receive the corresponding email information after being scanned. Scanning means that the Amazon warehouse receives the seller's goods. After receiving the goods, it will scan the registration and warehousing and scan the SKU barcode of the product. This is the second step. After the scan is over, the seller's inventory quantity will be updated, and the receipt will be officially completed.

It can be seen from the steps of product warehousing that Amazon has nothing to do with the logistics service provider for the goods warehousing, and the entire warehousing process after the receipt is completed by Amazon. If we encounter problems such as slow sign-offs and slow shelves, it is useless to find a logistics service provider. Only Amazon customers can play a role.

The reason why Amazon sign-off and shelves are slow:

 1, warehouse burst

I encountered a warehouse explosion on Amazon, and even if I signed for the goods, I couldn't enter the warehouse smoothly. You need to wait for the previous goods to enter the warehouse before your own goods can enter. Generally speaking, sellers have to wait a long time for a liquidation. Amazon has liquidation from July to August this year, and some sellers have queued for an estimated time of up to 2 months. Therefore, when shipping to Amazon FBA, especially during peak logistics seasons, you must pay attention to information related to Amazon warehouse inventory to avoid situations such as warehouse explosions and warehouse storage.

 2. Larger handling volume

The processing capacity of Amazon staff and equipment is limited. If there is a sharp increase in the number of goods that need to be put into the warehouse, it may not be able to be processed quickly in a short time. Only after waiting for the staff to finish processing slowly, can it be signed for and put into storage. Sellers can learn about the dynamics of Amazon warehouses to verify the specific conditions of the goods.

 3. Abnormal

There are also some abnormal situations. After the receipt of the goods, the receipt information is not tracked, or the goods have not been put on the shelf for a long time. These abnormal situations need to be checked by the seller. The goods can be signed and received by the logistics service provider. If the goods are not on the shelf for a long time, they need to prepare the information and contact Amazon customer service.

Reasons for delays in Amazon FBA first-way logistics:

  1. Shipment delay

Shipping schedule delays will cause delays in the initial shipping time, such as delays in container loading, warehouse explosion and rejection, weather factors, port blockage, etc. Loading delays may be due to insufficient cabinets or high cargo volumes at the port. The main reason for the blasting and dumping of containers is the lack of space in ships. Some severe weather will affect the navigation speed of the sea. The port is blocked, causing ships to take more time to reach the port.

 2, flight delays

Air transport is mainly due to flight delays, including board delays, flight delays, and bad weather. The delay in boarding refers to the time spent by the goods in the boarding process, which results in the extension of the shipping time limit. If the flight is delayed, it will also have a significant impact on the cargo timeliness. Some bad weather will cause some flights to be cancelled, and the goods will be queued for the next flight for transportation.

 3, customs clearance delay

There are two main reasons for delays in customs clearance. One is the strict inspection by the customs. As a result, the time for customs clearance in about 1 day has become 3-5 days. In another case, due to incomplete customs clearance information and problems in the declaration, the shipment was detained by the customs and caused delays in the extension of the time limit for shipments.

  4. Delivery delay

In terms of terminal delivery, due to the holiday, weather, insufficient truck manpower of the destination country, and insufficient terminal carrier capacity, the terminal delivery is blocked, resulting in logistics delays.
