On November 1, the Taiwan Coast Guard reported that two floating karate boats were found near the shipwreck, which caused concerns about the missing crew. Two patrol vessels have been sent to help find the missing crew, and at the same time ask nearby ships to maintain alertness. However, the storm hindered the rescue work.


It is understood that at the time of the incident, the cargo ship "Xindhun No. 1" full of cement was on the way from Cailan Port, Vietnam to Taichung Port, China, and originally planned to arrive at Taichung Port on the afternoon of October 31.


Cement transport ship "Xing Shun NO 1", IMO 9665451, loaded 9999, was built in 2014, hanging the Panama ship flag, and was operated by the Hong Kong Maritime LTD of Hong Kong Shipping Company.
