Amazon previously announced that starting from May 4, 2021, Amazon will launch the "First Scan Refund" (RFS) function for all sellers who use the prepaid return label program. This is a new and mandatory feature for self-delivery sellers; FBA sellers have received this requirement before then.

The new feature means that sellers do not need to process refunds urgently within 2 working days as required. If the buyer uses a prepaid return label when submitting or sending the returned product, the carrier will receive a refund after the first scan is completed. For all refunds processed using the "First Scan Refund" function, the seller will still receive a refund notification email from Amazon.

If the seller encounters return fraud, Amazon says:

If you receive a damaged or materially different returned product due to the buyer's fault, you can apply for SAFE-T compensation as long as the refund is made through the "first scan refund" function.

Sellers can contact customers via email
Amazon is currently testing a new feature that requires sellers to introduce new products and sales to customers via email. This policy makes it much easier for sellers to push new products in the future!

Amazon has new requirements for FBA light and small products
This year, FBA delivery fees and other policies have changed, and Amazon announced that logistics costs will start to increase on June 1. Light and small products also announced the implementation of new requirements on June 1.

The announcement of the "Updates to FBA Small and Light Commodity Requirements" released yesterday is as follows:

1. Changes in bundling requirements

Effective immediately, there is no longer a need to bundle small and light units together, and sellers can send inventory as standard FBA.

Starting June 1, 2021, bundling sales will no longer be allowed. From this date, when the Amazon barcode or the total number of sellable units is on the outside of the package, the ASIN cannot be bundled together. Examples of such packaging include the following:

Seller's luggage

If the product is shipped with a barcode on the outside of the package rather than on individual items, the bundle may be scanned as a whole by mistake, and this shipping defect may delay receipt.

2. Amazon barcode requirements in the UK and Germany

Starting June 1, 2021, each individual unit will require an Amazon barcode (for small and light products) in the UK and Germany. This requirement already exists in France, Italy and Spain. (Sellers can also register for FBA label service)

At present, the labeling service is free for sellers registered in the UK and Germany; for products registered in France, Italy and Spain, the labeling service is 0.09 Euro per unit, and any fee changes will be announced in advance.

The president reminded that the seller will comply with the transportation and packaging requirements and will avoid unplanned preparation services and delayed receipt of inventory.
