While ensuring the transportation of coal, oil, grain and other key materials, in the first seven months of this year, the Yangtze River trunk port led 31,000 Chinese and foreign ships and 190 million tons of foreign trade goods; the first phase of the Yangtze River Estuary Nancao Channel Improvement Project is in trial operation. Nearly 200,000 ships passed through, an increase of 9% year-on-year; the throughput of the Three Gorges Hub was 90.62 million tons, an increase of 6.2% year-on-year, a record high for the same period in history.
At the same time, the innovation-driven capability of Changjiang Shipping has also been significantly enhanced. The Beidou application pilot and other pilot tasks to build a strong transportation country are progressing in an orderly manner. The Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River has initially established 43 "smart bayonet" systems covering Changjiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, the intersection of Shanghai and Jiangsu, the intersection of the Yangtze River and inland rivers, and the waters of key bridges. The center has launched a data sharing and exchange system, the service of "non-stop service and certificate issuance" has been fully promoted in the main line of the Yangtze River, and the promotion of electronic navigation map in the tributaries has been accelerated.
In terms of the green development of shipping in the Yangtze River, since the beginning of this year, the CSC has promoted the construction of 4 water green service areas and 4 model areas, and vigorously implemented the "zero discharge" model of "onboard storage and shore disposal" of ship water pollutants.
