So far, all dedicated lines in the United States basically use FEDEX/UPS Ground service. Ground is a pure truck service, that is, ground service! It is similar to SF's domestic automobile transportation service. Although it is a truck service, it is still an express delivery service. There is no need to make an appointment to go to the Amazon warehouse. This is different from directly calling the truck company to send it to the Amazon warehouse! The delivery time of Groud service in the U.S. inland is 1-5 working days, and some islands will be in 6 working days.
US FBA air transportation process:
1. Stocking: Provide product name, picture, number of pieces, weight, volume, declared value, and Amazon warehouse.
2. Incoming warehouse: according to the code reserved in advance, it will be delivered to Xiangcheng warehouse in advance.
3. Air freight: After confirming the goods, package and board the goods according to the system plan. After scanning the warehouse, air freight will be sent directly to the FBA warehouse.
4. Export: express customs declaration, general trade declaration that is tax refund declaration, three exemption declaration without tax refund, etc.
5. Arrival: By air freight, after the goods arrive at the designated port, FBA freight forwarding company will arrange customs clearance. And make an appointment to deliver the goods to the FBA warehouse.
Regarding customs clearance airports: (Los Angeles LAX, New York JFK, Cincinnati CVG, Chicago ORD, Dallas DFW) Los Angeles: At present, 90% of the special lines are cleared in Los Angeles and then sent to the entire United States; Los Angeles has the most flights and air freight is relatively cheap. Even if Los Angeles is the airport with the slowest and most inefficient delivery, most freight forwarders choose this airport!
New York: New York is currently the second choice for freight forwarding besides Los Angeles, but it is suitable for goods in the East and some parts of the United States and China, and air freight is more expensive. Normally, it is 2-4 yuan per kilogram more expensive than Los Angeles. There is no customs clearance. Los Angeles is fast, and it takes at least 2-3 days for normal goods to arrive at the airport for customs clearance and delivery; however, the delivery time for goods in the central and eastern regions is better than that in Los Angeles!
Cincinnati: If Cincinnati is the starting point for delivery, it can cover almost all Amazon warehouses in the U.S., China and Eastern U.S., equivalent to 70% of FBA warehouses in the U.S. are included, and the average delivery time is 1-2 working days; and this airport customs clearance is the most It's easy to pick up the goods and the fastest, and the delivery is the widest and fastest, no one; but this airport has fewer routes and more expensive prices, and almost no freight forwarders will clear them here!
Chicago and Dallas: There are many routes between these two airports, and Chicago's air freight cost and delivery advantages are not weaker than that of New York. Why are very few people clearing customs here? The main reason is that the customs clearance procedures here are more stringent; you must know, In a special line bill of lading, there are at least a dozen different products and a dozen different delivery addresses. Any problem with one product will cause the entire shipment to be detained for inspection; Chicago even requires that a batch of shipments can only have A consignee is one of the reasons. In general, if your goods are from a consignee, more than 1 ton, you can choose to clear customs separately here. The cost performance is still relatively high!
It is worth noting that the delivery in the United States inland is carried out strictly according to the established time, and it is still a working day; you do not have to imagine that your goods will arrive early, it will only be slow, not fast;
Assuming that the delivery time is 5 working days, even if it is picked up on Monday (PICK UP), it will not be signed until the next Monday. The calculation rule of the delivery time is based on the second working day after the pickup; if a certain special line clears customs in Los Angeles, After 13 days of withdrawal, it will take another five working days (7 days) for delivery, and the total time is 20 days; therefore, how do we choose a suitable air dispatch line? The customs clearance location is very important!
The most reasonable delivery time should be controlled within 1-3 working days. In this case, even if the withdrawal is made on Monday and Tuesday, the delivery can be completed before the end of Friday! This is very important and very important.
