Amazon is taking action against sellers again! A large number of sellers' whitelists are invalid...

Have you ever found that Amazon has such a habit. Before the platform recognized the things that the sellers used normally, they suddenly stopped using them after a while, and they would not say hello to you in advance.

No, the news broke out in the cross-border circle recently: the whitelist of a large number of sellers suddenly became invalid! As a result, products and stores lose their "brand protection coat" and are exposed to competitors, and they are likely to face the risk of being removed from the shelves and closed due to complaints from competitors! In addition, it is impossible to continue to use the whitelist to list new products, which is nothing but a fatal blow to sellers!

In fact, there are not many sellers who have the same experience on cross-border forums. Everyone said that the whitelist is invalid, the review is strict, and the pass rate is less than 1%. Is Amazon going to start a serious investigation?

Some sellers may not know what a whitelist is, here is an explanation for you!

Whitelisting is a temporary measure for adding new links before a brand is registered. The seller applies for the trademark (TM mark) to be applied or is applying to Amazon. After passing the application, the trademark can be used in the listing.

In the absence of brand filing, you can temporarily use the "brand whitelist" for emergency response. After the whitelist application is approved, you do not need to write no branded or N/A...etc. for subsequent product releases.

So with whitelisting, what could be the problem?

(1) The brand whitelist is only temporary. If you do not take the initiative to register the trademark, it may become invalid later, and in the case of good sales, it will be found by other unscrupulous sellers that the trademark has not been registered, then the trademark registration right may be robbed;

(2) Before the real trademark registration and brand filing, it may be complained of infringement, resulting in the removal of the store or the closure of the store.

And a large number of sellers who have failed the whitelist this time are sellers who have not done brand registration.

In fact, whether it is a big seller or a small and medium-sized seller, in order to maintain long-term viability and competitiveness in the industry, they must have their own areas of expertise and unique advantages. Logos such as brands and trademarks can help strengthen their impressions in the minds of consumers. Branding can not only enable sellers to establish their own influence, but also prevent a series of spoofs and infringements.

What can trademark registration do for me?

(1) On the Amazon platform: After trademark registration, you can apply for brand registration (TM mark can also be filed), so as to obtain Amazon's marketing support, including brand protection, rush sales, use of A+ pages, etc.

(2) In the local national market: whether it is offline or any online platform, as long as you register your brand, your brand will be fully protected locally.

What can Brand Registry do for me?

(1) To prevent competitors from hijacking the product listing, or maliciously modify the listing content;

(2) You can use product A+ pages, interface optimization tools or brand advertisements to increase sales;

(3) Brand filing support has more skilled technology to help sellers correct listing problems;

(4) UPC commodity barcodes can be exempted;

(5) Simplify the process of reporting infringements.

Therefore, I would like to remind all sellers here: to register and record the trademark as soon as possible; otherwise, it is to walk a tightrope on the platform!
